About Hellenic Seaways
Hellenic Seaways is the second Greek domestic brand of Attica Group, alongside Blue Star Ferries, Superfast Ferries and ANEK Lines. The company was established in 1984, sailed for years as Minoan Flying Dolphins and Hellas Flying Dolphins and took its present name in 2005; Attica Group completed the takeover in 2018 and has since run it as a separate brand with its own ships and ticket conditions, which are identical to Blue Star's for the Cyclades lines. Its network is centred on the Cyclades, the Sporades, the Saronic Gulf and the North Aegean. On Santorini it appears on one route, the seasonal Syros chain.

Artemis is a conventional passenger and car ferry built in 1997, 89.8 metres long, with room for 748 passengers and 128 lane metres of vehicles at a top speed of 19.2 knots. It is a day ship without cabins: numbered air seats, a café bar, an open-deck bar, Wi-Fi, a telemedicine service, kennels and a lift with platform for passengers with reduced mobility. Check-in, vehicle and pet
Hellenic Seaways' general conditions for the Cyclades lines ask passengers to be at the embarkation area one hour before departure, with or without a vehicle, and drivers to bring the car to the loading area one hour before. Tickets are issued by name with nationality and date of birth and cannot be bought on board. Each passenger may carry up to 50 kilos or one cubic metre of luggage free of charge. The driver loads and unloads the vehicle alone, other occupants leave it first; electric and plug-in hybrid cars board with at most 40 percent battery charge, LPG and CNG vehicles with the tank at most half full, and vehicles with damaged fuel or battery systems are refused. Pets are declared at booking so a free pet ticket can be issued, with the health booklet or pet passport and microchip number, up to five animals per booking. On Artemis they travel in the kennels, on deck on a lead and muzzled, never in the bars, restaurants or indoor areas; unaccompanied animals are not carried.
Tickets
Tickets are sold online through the booking step on the route page, on the company's own site and app and at port agencies. Children under five travel free on a mandatory zero-fare ticket and pay half price if they take a seat. Cancellation is contractual and depends on the season and the time left before departure.
