santoriniferry.com is an independent comparison site for the ferry crossing to Santorini. The island sits at the southern end of the Cyclades and is served from Athens (Piraeus and Rafina), from Crete and from the surrounding Cyclades and Dodecanese islands; the port authority lists a daily, year-round connection to Piraeus. All regular ferries arrive at Athinios, the island's main passenger port.

The question this site answers is not "which operator" but "which origin, and does it sail on my date". In summer the network is dense, with links from more than twenty islands; outside the season, the Athens corridor carries the traffic and many island links pause. Two things regularly trip travellers up. The first is the port: booking systems list the island under its official name Thira, and the regular ferry port is Athinios - not the Old Port below Fira, which serves cruise tenders. The second is the vessel type: conventional ferries and high-speed craft share the same routes at very different speeds, comfort levels and wind sensitivity. We put routes, live departures and the port practicalities side by side so that decision becomes an easy one.

It is not a Santorini travel guide either: sights, sunsets in Oia, hotels, restaurants and tours belong elsewhere, and cruise shore excursions are out of scope.
